Maintenance Mechanical Fitter

Wingfield, Adelaide SA | Permanent, full time | $48 to $50 per hour plus overtime

Four-day week, day shift, with a steady, planned workflow

GraceWell Recruitment is working with our client, a well-established Adelaide manufacturer that exports to customers around the world, to find an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Fitter for their Wingfield site.

This is a hands-on role keeping automated, high-volume production equipment running safely and reliably. You'll be part of a team of mechanical tradespeople, working on a mix of breakdowns, planned servicing, rebuilds and project work.

What you'll be doing

• Planned and day-to-day mechanical maintenance, repairs and servicing of production equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and fixing machinery issues
• Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Rebuilding gearboxes and pumps
• General machining, fitting and welding
• Contributing to engineering and maintenance projects
• Working on your own and with the team, always with a close eye on safety

What you'll bring

• An Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification
• Practical machining, fitting and welding skills
• Experience diagnosing and fixing faults on mechanical machinery
• Proven experience maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• The ability to rebuild gearboxes and pumps

It would be great if you also have maintenance experience in a demanding industrial or manufacturing environment, forklift and EWP licences, and the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.

The roster and the benefits

• Day shift, four 10-hour days a week, mainly Tuesday to Friday
• Paid overtime on a fifth day when needed (usually five to ten hours), with penalty rates
• Above-award rate of $48 to $50 per hour
• Rostered days off and a consistent, planned workflow
• Uniforms supplied and dry-cleaned every week
• Secure onsite parking
• Immediate start available

You'll need full working rights in Australia and the ability to meet the physical requirements of the role safely.
